A few things about me

Outside of the day-to-day, you'll find me exploring new places, chasing good food, and getting outside whenever I can — kayaking, white-water rafting, hiking, and skiing are regular escapes. I'm an avid gamer and a dedicated reader across sci-fi, fantasy, and non-fiction (often via audiobook on Audible), and I like staying plugged into current affairs.

One day, I hope to bring engineering rigor and genuine creative vision together to build a truly great software experience.

CORD Services

Deployed and configured new subscriber services on CORD (Central Office Re-architected as a Datacenter) — an open platform that fuses NFV, SDN and OpenStack commodity cloud to turn the telco central office into an elastic datacenter. Services were modeled declaratively (XOS / YANG) and orchestrated over an ONOS-controlled fabric for agile, real-time provisioning.

Operating System Simulator

A multithreaded OS simulator that loads jobs encoded in hex and executes them on a virtual CPU configurable for 1 or 4 cores. Implemented the full instruction pipeline (fetch / decode / execute), long- and short-term schedulers, dispatcher, memory management, ready/wait queues, per-process control blocks (PCBs), and simulated RAM and disk.

On a four-person Agile/Scrum team I owned the normalized MySQL schema, core UI, file-upload pipeline, and the email verification and password-reset flows.

Remote Network Status Monitor

A four-tier monitoring system for a CSE data center: an always-on Windows Service polls heterogeneous servers for health metrics, persists them to SQL Server, exposes them through a REST Web API, and surfaces them in a Windows 8.1 dashboard client. I built the 24/7 Windows Service and portions of the Web API.
